In December, 2000 "Kino-Proekt Engineering" developed by request of "Kremlin" enterprise and the Administrative Office of the President of Russia a very ambitious project - installation of two video displays on the Red Area in Moscow. For this purpose LightHouse LVP-402 and LVP-502 LED panels in all-weather design were selected. The primary goal of the project was providing the uninterrupted the round-the-clock video display for visitors of the Red Area. Each screen is 6.4 m wide by 4.8 m high with depth of only 0.2 m. The gross weight of the screen including connection cables makes about 2500 kg. The screen consists of 25 panels controlled by Lighthouse LIP-controller. The source signals are fed via one RG-59 cable using LightHouse Serializer and input Snell&Wilcox SuperVisor processor. The available programme sources are DVC-Pro VTR, DVD-player, component video signal from outside broadcast van, PC VGA-signal, and composite video signal from video camera installed on the Red Square.
