February, 20, 1999, Moscow. In the State Kremlin Palace of Congresses was held the film premiere of Nikita Mikhalkov's "The Siberian Barber". In spite of the fact that the script of the film was written more than 10 years ago, Mikhalkov, the film director, used for the film production the Dolby Digital 5.1 digital sound recording technology. The film has passed certification of the Dolby Laboratory in the Great Britain. This is the first Russian film produced in this format and it has convincingly proved the great opportunities of realization of creative plans of the film authors. It was appreciated by spectators on a premiere held in the Moscow Kremlin, Alma-Ata and Saratov where the picture was shown using the most advanced equipment.

The excellent sound quality was appreciated by spectators in Kremlin Palace equipped by "Kino-Proekt Engineering" with most modern film projection system.

The cinema complex includes in particular ERNEMANN 15 film projector, special version Laser Audio, 7000 W with Xenosol 4000-7000 mm lamphouse, a special version for horizontal xenon lamps and Schneider Optics CS 1:2,35, Super-35 Cinelux CS/90 mm p=57.5 m projection lens providing the image size 11.5 х 27.5 m.
